Telekom Austria floats at Greek Hellenic Telecom (OTE)
April 19th, 2007 in Austrian Investors
The plans of Telekom Austria to access the Greek Hellenic Telecom (OTE) are canceled.
OTE is Greeks biggest telephone provider and Telekom Austria was interested to get some access. Now Telekom Austria reconsidered its decisions and broke off the talks with the Greeks.
Reason: the Greek company was not willing to give up their control in the management.
The Greek state holds 39 percent of OTE and want to sell 15 percent to an investor. If the Greeks won’t find a partner, they are going to sell on the stock exchange. 61 percent of OTE are in free float.
